Halter Dress

Soutache is the fine braided cord worked into swirling patterns on military dress coats and folk costume, laid down entirely by hand. Here it climbs the dress in a floral vine, stitched over Peruvian cotton, a long staple fiber that stays soft wash after wash.

The halter neck bares the shoulders and ties at the nape and falling to the knee. Wear it with flat sandals and a straw hat in summer, or throw a denim jacket and boots over it once the evening cools.
