Who is Trail & Tailor?
We put the open country and the city life in the same closet.
Trail & Tailor started with a simple frustration: the best western pieces never left the West. A perfect leather jacket in Montana, a snap shirt in Nashville, a hand-tooled bag in a Texas market, and no easy way for our friends back home to get any of it.
So we started collecting: backroads and interstates, mountains to the coast, pulling together the pieces we loved and the ones that could live in both worlds. This is that collection: real western craft for people who split their days between the trailhead and the city block.
The leather goes back to 1906
Our jackets, vests and coats are all cut by Scully, and only Scully. It’s a family leather house that started in Northern California in 1906, the story goes, on a coin toss between two glove makers. The one who lost the flip headed south and kept working: gloves first, then leather flying helmets and pilots’ bomber jackets through both World Wars, then luggage and personal leather goods, and finally the western wear the name is known for today. Classic westerns put actors in Scully because it was the real thing. Five generations in, it’s still family owned and run.
Trail & Tailor is what happens when a century of that craft finally points itself at the whole country: mountains, coasts, cities, and everywhere between.
