Halter Dress

Peruvian cotton has a long fiber that spins tight and soft, cool enough for real heat but substantial enough to hold its shape. Soutache, fine cord worked into a raised floral vine, runs the length of this dress rather than stopping at the bodice, so it catches the light with every step.

The halter ties behind the neck for a fit you can adjust, and the hem stops at the knee. We reach for this one on a warm evening: flat sandals and a denim jacket to start, boots and a shawl once the sun drops. It packs down to almost nothing too, which makes it an easy one to travel with.
